Late second cycle/early third cycle Kelp Gull L. d. dominicanus. The bill is very much like an adult's with bright yellow coloration and red gonydeal spot. The plumage, however, is definitely immature with lots of mottling on the wings and dark coloration on the retrices. Photographed at Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina - January 9, 2005.
