#16 Nifty Warbler  Rating: Advanced

#15 Bath Time  Rating: Intermediate to

#14 Baby Birds  Rating: Novice to Advanced

 **Updated 1 September 2006**

       Five shots currently available.

#13 At Rest  Rating: Novice to Intermediate
Two shots of birds at rest.
#12 What a Dive!  Rating: Intermediate
Under development - three shots currently
       available.  Photos of birds heading
       underwater.  Not too difficult.

#11 In Flight  Rating: Intermediate

**updated 27 November 2006**

Eleven shots of winged creatures in flight.
Most are fairly easy, but a couple might take
      a bit of thinking.
#8 Continental Extremes
     Rating: Novice to Advanced
So you thought my earlier quizzes were
     geographically challenged (most shots taken
within 5 minutes of home), but were too
polite to speak out.  Well, problem solved
temporarily.  This quiz has two shots, one
taken at Sanibel Island FL by Mary Beth
Stowe, and the other from Nome AK,
photographed by Jean Brandt.  Go for it!

#7 Gulls  Rating: Novice to Advanced
Try your hand at identifying the species and
age of each individual, then click on the
image for some answers.  Many of these birds
are adults, so novices have a pretty good
chance of at least getting them down to
species.  Some of them are difficult for me
(see discussion) so I wouldn't mind some
     help with id.

#6 Bad Angles  Rating: Intermediate

**updated 1 October 2006**

As birders, we don't always get to see birds in
textbook configuration - sometimes they just
     don't cooperate.  I've exaggerated things a bit
for quiz purposes, but here are some bad
angles on fairly common birds.  There are
sufficient field marks showing to identify each
     to species.

#5 In the Lagoon
     Rating: Novice to Intermediate
A single photo with seven species.  Novices
should be able to see adequate field marks to
identify at least five of these.  Intermediate
birders should be able to fairly easily identify
six, and take a good guess at the seventh (its
field marks don't really show).  There are
multiple plumages of several species.  See if
you can identify every bird in the image.
